House rules: Home plots

Where ExfilCraft works differently from vanilla Minecraft on your home plot.

Numbers are the defaults. A server can change them.

  • Dying on any home plot (yours, a squadmate's or a friend's) or in the Market keeps your whole inventory and experience.

    Home, Market
  • After dying on a home plot you respawn at the spawn point of the plot you died on, even if it belongs to a friend.

    Home
  • Logging in always puts you on your own plot, unless you logged out on a home plot or are still inside an open raid window.

    Everywhere
  • A bed never sets your respawn point; you come back at a plot's spawn point, which /exfilcraft plot setspawn moves.

    Everywhere
  • You cannot cast a fishing rod on a home plot or in the Market; a Fish Trap or a fisherman resident still catches fish there.

    Home, Market
  • Ender pearls and Glowing Pearls cannot be used anywhere in a home dimension; the throw is refused and the item is kept.

    Home
  • You cannot milk cows, mooshrooms or goats on a home plot.

    Home
  • You can only place and break blocks inside your plot's border, never in the land around it.

    Home
  • An invisible wall rings your plot from bedrock to the sky along the stone edge line, so you cannot walk, fly or tunnel off it, and climbing over it pushes you straight back.

    Home
  • Every ore on a new, bought or re-rolled plot is turned to stone, though ground you add later by expanding the plot keeps its ores.

    Home
  • Re-rolling your plot is free only until you break a second block on it, then it costs levels, and every re-roll shrinks the plot back to its starting size.

    Home
  • Re-rolling abandons the old ground for good: every resident and tamed pet on it is deleted with its gear (minis are spared).

    Home
  • A new home is Hostile, so monsters spawn at night in the land around your plot; switching to Peaceful needs a one-time emerald unlock at the Plot Trader, and a rebirth locks it again.

    Home
  • Phantoms never appear at home, even on a Hostile home.

    Home
  • A pillager village raid never starts in a home dimension, even if you walk home carrying Raid Omen.

    Home
  • Monsters killed in a home dimension drop no items and no experience, so a Hostile home is not a mob farm.

    Home
  • Monsters cannot change anything at home: explosions leave no crater, endermen cannot pick up blocks, zombies cannot break doors, and frames, paintings, armour stands, boats and dropped items are safe from them (your own TNT still works).

    Home
  • At home your armour takes no wear from damage, and weapons, bows, crossbows and shields take none in combat; tools still wear from normal work. The same goes for your pets and residents.

    Home
  • On a Hostile home, a pet, golem, resident or farm animal killed by a monster comes back at its plot's spawn point with its gear after 30 seconds or at dawn, and drops nothing when it dies; one killed any other way stays dead.

    Home (Hostile)
  • Animals on a home plot cannot be hurt by players or anything except monsters; a butcher resident or the Butcher's Knife is the only way to cull them.

    Home
  • Animals on a home plot will not breed from their normal food; both parents need a Love Potion, and breeding drops no experience.

    Home
  • A sheared sheep on a home plot never regrows its wool by eating grass; it needs Regrowth Kibble.

    Home
  • Chickens at home never lay eggs on their own. A chicken given a Love Potion that finds no mate lays one egg when the potion wears off.

    Home
  • A loose pet does not follow you to another of your plots; lead it or ride it to bring it along.

    Home
  • Mobs and residents never trample farmland on a home plot, and visitors without build rights cannot either.

    Home
  • /exfilcraft home and /exfilcraft unstuck take you back to your plot from anywhere except a raid, where you have to extract.

    Everywhere but raids
